EN // Proposal for the new GNK Dinamo Zagreb stadium.
The proposal for the new Maksimir Stadium is based on a clear idea: to create a contemporary, compact and recognisable football ground that preserves the intensity of the game in Zagreb while giving the club a new architectural identity.
The seating bowl is arranged in two main tiers, keeping spectators close to the pitch and reinforcing the relationship between supporters and the game. Circulation routes, hospitality areas and intermediate spaces are integrated within a continuous concrete structure, giving the stadium a clear and unified character.
The roof is conceived as a large folded plane that brings the whole stadium together and strengthens the sense of enclosure. Beneath it, the upper tier adopts the red-and-white Croatian checkerboard pattern, while the lower tier is finished in blue, directly linking the interior atmosphere to the identity of Dinamo Zagreb.
The project seeks a balance between monumentality and proximity: a stadium with a strong material presence, clear geometry and an intense atmosphere, designed around both the match itself and the collective experience surrounding it.

La propuesta para el nuevo Maksimir Stadium parte de una idea clara: crear un estadio contemporáneo, compacto y reconocible, capaz de mantener la intensidad del fútbol en Zagreb y, al mismo tiempo, dar al club una nueva identidad arquitectónica.
El graderío se organiza en dos grandes anillos, manteniendo al espectador próximo al terreno de juego y reforzando la relación entre la afición y el partido. Las circulaciones, zonas hospitality y espacios intermedios se integran dentro de una estructura continua de hormigón, dando al estadio una lectura clara y unitaria.
La cubierta se plantea como un gran plano plegado que unifica todo el conjunto y refuerza la sensación de recinto. Bajo ella, la grada superior adopta el patrón rojo y blanco del damero croata, mientras que el anillo inferior se resuelve en azul, vinculando directamente la atmósfera interior con la identidad del Dinamo Zagreb.
El proyecto busca un equilibrio entre monumentalidad y cercanía: un estadio de fuerte presencia material, geometría clara y atmósfera intensa, pensado tanto para el partido como para la experiencia colectiva que lo rodea.
